50th ANNIVERSARY OF PASS-OUT REUNION JULY 2006
Reports and Pictures

The reunion took place from Monday 24th July through to Thursday 27th July, 2006 at the Telford Park Inn Hotel, and included a visit to Royal Air Force Cosford.

The main programme started at 11:00 Tuesday and finished at approximately 15:00 on Wednesday allowing the flexibility for people to choose just those events in which they wished to participate. Accommodation arrangements allowed people to book for I, 2, or 3 nights at the Telford Park Inn Hotel or to make their own arrangements and stay elsewhere if they preferred.

Reunion Events held over July 24th - 27th 2006
Monday 24th

PM / Evening: Those who arrived on Monday made their own arrangements for the evening taking the opportunity to organise a get together with old friends.
Tuesday 25th

AM: More reunions of old friends on arrival at the Hotel.
All Boys issued with a Panamawith appropriate chequered hatband.

11:00 - 15:30: Board Coaches for visit to the National Arboretum at Alrewas and visit to the Boy Entrants Memorial. More

19:30: Assemble in Telford Suite bar for pre-dinner drinks.

20:00: 50th Anniversary Reunion Dinner at Hotel. More
Wednesday 26th

09:15: Board coaches for visit to RAF Cosford and arrive for a short service in the Station Church, at 09:45, conducted by Joe Kendrick, remembering colleagues from the 24th on 'final posting'. More

10:15: Ladies board coach for visit to David Austin Roses in Albrighton.

10:15: Boys board coach for 'windscreen' tour of RAF Cosford, and visit to training areas for aircraft, radio and avionics trades. More Sqn. Ldr. Vic Kinnin; RAF Cosford's Community Relations Officer, supervises the tour.

12:30: Boys form up on parade ground (site of old Hinaidi West Hanger) watched by Ladies and prepare for march past and salute taken by Group Captain Gary Fletcher, Officer Commanding No1 School of Technical Training. More

13:00: Stop at the Fulton Block accommodation memorial for photographs. More

13:30: Lunch served in the Fulton Block dining hall. More

14:30: Coaches depart Cosford and return to the hotel.

Evening: Those staying made their own arrangements for the evening to spend time with old friends.
Thursday 27th AM: Good-byes and depart hotel.
