A
Reunion which coincided with the 52nd Anniversary of 'signing on'
took place over 14 - 16th February 2007, at the Thistle Hotel, Swindon.
All 'boys' who spent time training with the 24th at Cosford or St Athan
were invited, as were their wives / partners. It is estimated that in 1955 - 56 there were 400 - 450 boys who were in the 24th Entry. Sadly, some are known to have died, but over 100 boys have been 'found' and over 30 attended the reunion. The main events were a visit to the Royal Air Force Lyneham and a Reunion Dinner at which the guest speaker was Group Captain Gary Fletcher. Thanks are due to Reg White, Air Radar, who organised the reunion and designed the 24th tie worn by all 'boys' at the dinner. |
