Reports and Pictures

The reunion took place from Monday 14th February through to Thursday 17th February, 2005 at the Telford Moat House Hotel, with two visits to Cosford. The Hotel is conveniently located just off Junction 5 of the M54, close to Telford Central Railway Station and local attractions including a superb indoor shopping centre and Ironbridge Gorge.

The main programme started at 12:00 Tuesday and finished at approximately 15:00 on Wednesday allowing the flexibility for people to choose just those events in which they wished to participate. Accommodation arrangements allowed people to book for I, 2, or 3 nights at the Telford Moat House Hotel or to make their own arrangements and stay elsewhere if they preferred.

Reunion Events held over February 14th - 17th 2005

Monday 14th

PM / Evening: Those who arrived on Monday made their own arrangements for the evening taking the opportunity to organise a get together with old friends.

Tuesday 15th

AM: More reunions of old friends on arrival at the Hotel.

12:00 - 15:30: Board Coaches for visit to Aerospace Museum, Cosford. Finger buffet lunch,
served in the conference facility. Leisurely visit to the museum and aircraft on display before returning to the hotel. More

19:30: Assemble in Telford Suite bar for pre-dinner drinks.

20:00: 50th Anniversary Reunion Dinner at Hotel. More

Wednesday 16th 10:30: Board coaches for visit to RAF Cosford and arrive for a short service in the Station Church, at 11:25, conducted by Joe Kendrick, remembering colleagues from the 24th on 'final posting'. More

11:50: Board coaches for 'windscreen' tour of RAF Cosford, Sqn. Ldr. Vic Kinnin; RAF Cosford's Community Relations Officer, supervises the tour, including a stop at the Fulton Block accommodation memorial for photographs. More

13:15: Lunch served in the Fulton Block dining hall. More
14:30:
Coaches depart Cosford and return to the hotel.

Evening:
Those staying made their own arrangements for the evening to spend time with old friends.
Thursday 17th AM: Goodbyes and depart hotel.
